Mrs. Rebecca Loosle

Hi Friends! I have been a teacher in the Melvindale-Northern Allen Park school district for 23 years and have taught third, fourth, and fifth grades. I am part of a great team of 5th-grade teachers and am proud to work with a great group of teachers and staff at Allendale Elementary! It is an honor to work in a wonderful district and to be a part of our Cardinal family.

I attended school and grew up in St. Clair Shores, Troy, and Livonia, then went to Eastern Michigan, the University of Michigan, and Walden University for my teaching degrees. However, I continuously pursue educational opportunities to help me grow and develop my craft individually, with my teaching peers, and with my students. When we work together, we all learn more!

When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family. My husband, Nathan, and I have 2 children, 1 son-in-law, and 2 super fun grandchildren. They all keep us busy, but we are looking forward to becoming empty nesters to focus on our hobbies and find new interests. I love reading, playing on my computer, and traveling.

I look forward to a new and exciting school year! There will be so many opportunities to grow and learn new things together.

I am always excited to expand my knowledge of the elementary curriculum and build a deeper understanding of the full spectrum of learning that takes place in elementary school.

I see education as the main tool we have to prepare children for their futures. I have many jobs as a teacher, but I feel strongly that it is the combined teamwork of the student, teacher, and parents that help our children reach their full potential. Since it is our students that will become the future leaders and citizens of our world, I feel that nothing is more important than a quality education.

Being both a mom and teacher has helped me realize the importance of making sure that every child receives what they need academically, feels safe in our classroom community, and supported in their endeavors.
