Miss Amanda Nutter

Hello, my name is Miss Nutter and welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! I know this is going to an amazing school year full of fun and learning. Please take a moment to click the subscribe button under my photo. This will help keep us in close communication.

A little about Miss Nutter...
This is my 11th year teaching at Allendale. The first 3 years I taught in the Math/Computer lab and co-ran a student news program called WAES. This is my 9th year of teaching from the classroom and my 2nd year teaching 4th grade, I taught 5th grade for seven years. I also co-run the school safety patrol program with Ms. Michaels. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Elementary Education with a major in Language Arts and a minor in Science. I have a Master Degree from Wayne State University in Bilingual/Bi-cultural Education and English as a Second Language.

My Hobbies and Interests...
When I am not teaching I love spending time with my family and friends, especially my nieces and nephews. I love to garden, go bowling, watch movies (my favorites are anything fantasy and Star Wars) and put puzzles together. I am passionate about animals and love learning about them and their characteristics particularly aquatic life. In fact the theme of my classroom is sea life and my favorite Disney movie, Finding Nemo. Finally, I cannot forget to mention my 6 year old cat Maggie. She is my little follower, so wherever I am in the house you will most likely find her.

I am so excited to meet and build relationships with my students and their families this year. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions or concerns throughout this school year. Class Dojo or email tend to be the easiest way to contact me because I am not able to answer my phone throughout the school day. However if you do call please leave a detailed message with your name and student's name and I will return the call within one school day. I am looking forward to making this a great school year and helping your child to become a successful 4th grader.
