Ms. Michelle Buchanan
Welcome to Allendale! My name is Michelle Buchanan, and I am very excited that your child is going to be working with me this year.
To let you know a little about myself, I earned my Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan with a ZA endorsement in Early Childhood Education. My first Masters degree is in the Art of Teaching and my second is in Elementary Reading and Literacy. I started teaching at Rogers Early Elementary School in a 1st grade classroom and then spent eight years teaching Kindergarten. This is my seventeenth year teaching 2nd grade and I love it! That makes a total of 26 years in a classroom. Time sure flies when you're having fun!
In my spare time I love chilling with my Sheltie dog named Riley. He reminds me to appreciate the little things in life! I also enjoy swimming, reading, and spending time with family.
